New Horizon UCC has an active choir performing at every church service throughout the year. Our choir is made up of the previous choirs of our three churches that merged to form New Horizon: St. John's of Beechwood, St. John's of Boltonville, and St. Paul's of Silver Creek. All three of these churches had a marvelous music program. Music was well respected and encouraged. So when the merger went into effect, we inherited a great music background to which we developed our present New Horizon Choir. We have 15-18 very dedicated choir members in spring of 2011. We are constantly encouraging more members to join, knowing that our present choir is reaching senior age and are not able to join us every Sunday.
We meet every Wednesday evening from 5:00 to 6:00 PM unless announced otherwise. New Horizon congregation recently hired pianist-organist Denise Demming. One should add that Rose Bottesi had been our pianist-organist for over thirty years. We dearly thank Rose for all those dedicated years.
We always have a good time practicing our Sunday anthems. We sing to the Lord for the many blessings He has given us.
