About Our Pastor

Hi everyone! I’m Bridget Hill. I am the full-time minister here at New Horizon and am currently a student at Lexington Theological Seminary. I am a pastor’s kid and have many years of experience in church leadership, Sunday school, mission work and pastoral care. I have served the Southeast Association and Wisconsin Conference in various volunteer roles. I have two adult children, Tobias, 22 and Anna, 20.  I have lived in Washington County, WI most of my life with brief stays in North Carolina and California.

From 2007-2015 I commuted back and forth doing mission work in Kenya, Africa. Then I was a substitute teacher for elementary grades. I heard the call to congregational ministry after my time in Kenya. Living our faith, making sacrifices, taking up the call to act is what the Lord has asked of us. For me, it started with missionary work. It is not something that is for everyone.

As I moved out of the global missionary career, it took about four years before I felt called to congregational ministry. These years served as bridge… I watched as our country started to become more and more divisive. Disrespect, moral indiscretion, and judgement against our own people seemed to become the norm.

My break from ministry was over. It was time to heed the call to try and bring about restoration to my own country, which I care deeply for. The desire to preach in the pulpit and preach the teachings and reconciliation of Christ just may help heal our nation, heal broken relationships, and restore respect and morality.

I am full of energy and excitement. I enjoy worship and look forward to our time together praising and thanking God. God is Still Speaking and I know we can do great things together in service for our Lord.

I value communication and a desire to understand that we all have a story. For me, my ministry is centered in being an active Christian every day of the week. The church is not a building, rather it is the people. New Horizon is a congregation with a sense of call to do good work for the Lord.
